How are taxes calculated?

2026 Social Security is 6.2% up to a $184,500 wage base. Medicare is 1.45% plus 0.9% additional Medicare over $200,000. Federal withholding uses 2026 brackets after the standard deduction. State tax uses simplified 2026 tables. Estimates, not a payroll processor.

When do I get the PDF?

After Stripe confirms payment. Returning from checkout is not enough — the order page waits for paid status, then unlocks the unwatermarked paycheck stub.

Can contractors use this check stub maker?

Yes. Contractor mode does not withhold employee FICA or income tax unless you add voluntary deductions.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, within 30 days for generation defects. We do not refund because you no longer need the document or want different identity details.
